In 2014 founded a brokerage and investment advisory company in London with USD 85m of AUM. From 2015 to 2017 assisted Da Vinci Capital (private equity fund) with growing and developing financial companies within their portfolio. In 2017 sold his UK business. From 2017 to 2019 served as Managing Director at VTB Bank, overseeing structured financing business. In 2020, co-founded G&K Capital, responsible for investment strategy, attracting investors and growing portfolio companies.

From 2006 to 2009 worked as a Chief Analyst for Investment Department at Promsvyazbank, focusing on fixed income analytics. In 2009 moved to an investment company "Right City" (AUM over USD 60m), was responsible for acquisition and development of portfolio companies, including active operational management eventually reaching position of CEO in 2015. Since 2010, Ian has created from scratch two retail companies with regional chains and revenues of USD 10m each has subsequently sold them to major industry players. In 2020, he co-founded G&K Capital, where he is responsible for finding and attracting new investment ideas and operational management of portfolio companies.
